The Landmark History of the American People (From Plymouth to the Moon) - Daniel J. Boorstin, Ruth Frankel Boorstin Lots of interesting and unexpected topics like the founding of Sears. As a spine for a course in American history, 2 stars. A bit dense, sometimes unclear organization, and while some oddball topics were explained beyond expectations, standard topics were sometimes only briefly mentioned. I enjoyed reading it, but we won't use it again.
